“I decided to take action and joined a group of six young people who sing Christmas songs in hospitals… At first, I thought this activity wouldn’t have much of an impact—I even thought it might annoy the families. However, during the experience, I realized the opposite. Many family members and patients started dancing, most of them were smiling, and what impacted me the most was seeing some patients moved to tears… Some family members were also deeply touched and approached us, crying, to thank us. They told us that it’s incredibly hard to find reasons to smile in the hospital, and that our songs brought them so much joy... By the end of the experience, I walked away much more aware of how fortunate I am and deeply grateful. I loved having the opportunity to make such a positive impact on someone who was probably going through a really tough time.”
